History and Home Link Party

Welcome to the 32nd week of the History and Home Link Party!  This is the place to share stories on home decor, DIY, antiques, vintage collectibles, historic places, and other history.  I’m so glad you’re here, whether you’re here to share something from a blog you create, or to read what others have shared!

Last week we had a great round-up ~ as we always do.  This week I was going to feature the top three viewed from last week’s group, but since it was nearly a tie here are the top four viewed:

Melissa’s Antiques shared her thoughts on Indianapolis garage sales.

Panoply‘s Rita took us with her on a great pick!

The Craft Zone shared some fantastic finds.

IMG_1239  Lost and Found Decor shared a great tutorial on making book bundles.

There were a lot of other great things shared last week, so if you’ve arrived here before anyone’s linked up, visit these folks above, or head back to last week’s party and see what’s there.  (Go to the Link Party tab at the top.)

My personal picks were featured on my Link Party Features Pinterest Board, as always.  Y’all take care ~ Dawn

  1. Thanks for republishing the “top four viewed.” I hadn’t seen Rita’s set of luggage. Love the hatbox! I happen to have the very makeup case in the set–passed down from my mom.
Vintage suitcases are great for storage, table bases, even as (surprise!) luggage–AFTER you get the old smell out of them!
And thanks, as always, for the opportunity to link up.

  2. What a delightful surprise to see my luggage set on your post, Dawn – thank you!
This week it’s all about mothers, as we celebrate its 100th anniversary. Have a great week, Dawn, and thanks for hosting.

  3. I laughed seeing the suitcase feature because this week I had dropped my daughter off at church for a teen retreat. When I went back to get her someone had piled lots of stuff outside the donation box in the parking lot. I spied a small suitcase like what’s in the feature. Lets just say that it came home with me. My husband said, “So now your robbing from the donation box.” I told him it was just out there for the taking. Thanks for hosting.
