It’s time for week # 38 of the History and Home Link Party, the place for bloggers to share their stories about:
- home decor
- home DIY
- antiques and vintage finds
- history and historic places
I’m so glad you’re here to share and read along!
If you missed yesterday’s partial tour of a private daylily garden that’s been 40 years in the making, be sure to check that out, and parts 2, 3, and 4 will be coming during the rest of this week. Just follow the navigation at the bottom of this post.

Thanks to everyone who shared such wonderful things last week!
I have a question for y’all! This party has always started on Tuesday at 5am Eastern time (US). I now realize that’s an unusual time for a link-up to begin. I was such a newbie at blogging when I started this… 😉 Would y’all prefer a different start time? Monday afternoon or evening, maybe? Later on Tuesday? Let me know in the comments!
Now let’s see what you’ve been working on for this week. Y’all take care ~

Enjoyed the tour yesterday! Can’t wait to see the next parts. Thanks for hosting!

Dawn,
Thanks so much for the party and for your visits!!
Hugs,
Debbie
Thank you, Dawn, for featuring my post on the Greenbrier – it prompted me to share the follow up post. Love your history and junk (I mean that in a good way!) at your party. It’s fun to be here, thanks for hosting.
Rita
I like the timing of your link party just fine, but you’re the host – we’ll come whenever you decide to invite us!
Thank you for the party!
The time is ok for me when you start.
Nice post.
Greetings
Uwe
Thank you so much Dawn for featuring my post on Re-purpose Gardening. It is such an honor.
You probably know this already but one of your sponsors is a porn ad 🙁
Hi Dawn, your starting time is fine for me – i usually share my vintage/thrifty finds here which i publish on a friday (EEST Helsinki time) and i always find your link-up still open, which is great! this week i’ll share another post too, the last bit about my chair up-do 🙂 thanks a lot for hosting x
Hi Dawn. Thank you for this weekly party and I am fine with whatever time you want to start it.
Hugs, Dianne
Thanks for this interesting link up party. Anytime is good for me in Australia.
I never thought much about the timing of linky parties until someone recently told me that you have to be in the first ten linkers or no one will read your post. That’s why I like parties that rotate the links — I’m often a late-to-the-party kind of girl. 🙂 Thanks for hosting, Dawn.
I agree with Jennie, I frequently come home from work and just collapse on the couch and sleep until it is time to go to bed. It is really hard for me to get a post together lately and even more difficult to be able to link to some of the parties in a timely manner. I do not use the internet at work and after a 10 to 12 hour day I am whooped.
I don’t mind when it starts but think it would be nice if it stayed open for the whole week until the next link-up was ready. 🙂
I think the time is good. When I link up I have to do it before work. That makes early morning a perfect time for me. I promise I will link up a post next week.
