My Greetings, My Home, and Link Party

Welcome to week 13 of the History and Home link party, (formerly known as We Call It Olde Link-Up), but first, my greetings to you for a joyous and blessed holiday season.

My family and I do celebrate the birth of Jesus, whom we believe to be our Savior and the only way to the Father, but whatever holidays you are celebrating at this time, I hope you are blessed with safety, peace, and a wonderful new year to come.

Here are a few peeks at our home decked out for the holidays.  Remember that freestanding bird feeder and flower post my hubby built for me back in August, for my birthday?

The one we decorated with a home-made scarecrow for Autumn?

Well, I just couldn’t wait to decorate it for Christmas.  I just twirled some old garland around it that was headed for the trash can (since the lights no longer work and a new fuse didn’t fix them,) added some red bows, and made a couple of pine cone bird feeders.

I was happy to see a bird on one of the little pine cones the morning after I put the peanut butter & sunflower seed feeders out!

The front door has a simple wreath with red bows and white lights, and is flanked by two little trees.  I went traditional this year.  I go traditional most every year!  Oh, that cute little K-9 is Gruffer, and he has a costume for every season.

Here’s the porch at night.

I didn’t get around to an interior Christmas tour this year, so maybe next year.  Here is my Christmas card to all of you, my wonderful readers for whom I’m so grateful.  The link party is below and stays open through Friday.  Be blessed, y’all ~ Dawn

  2. Hi, Dawn! Your “Season Greetings” photo could be a postcard bought in a stationery store! What a beautiful shot that really complements your lovely home. Enjoy the happy days ahead. Rosie
