We Call It Olde, Week 1

Welcome to the very first week of We Call It Olde, my brand new link-up party where other bloggers can share their junkin finds, treasures, family heirlooms, and what they dug out of the neighbor’s trash!  (Hey, I’ve done it.)  For you non-bloggers, I hope you’ll find this to be a source for lots of vintage eye candy.  Check back often, it’ll take time to grow.

The olde item I’m sharing this week is this partial set of Gladding McBean California Pottery dinnerware I just thrifted: “Franciscan Autumn Leaves.”  This pattern was made from 1955 – 1966.  I just love the unusual shape of the bowls.  I found the platter; 7 each of the bowls, cups, and saucers; and 8 bread plates.  One more bowl and 8 dinner plates will be something new to hunt for when I’m out junkin now.

Thanks for sharing I have some pieces of a Franciscan pattern that’s very similar to yours, though I didn’t know they were made in California.(Learned something new!) Both of our patterns are . . . speckled? . . . and both have those nice, soft edges. Lovely.

I am happy to add my Winery Wedding post to your first linky party, Dawn. Although it’s not exactly about a vintage item, there are many vintage and thrifty tips from my son’s wedding that might be useful for someone else to read. Congratulations to you for starting this up!
