We Call It Olde Link-Up, Week 8

If you like antiques, historic places, and vintage goodies, you’re in the right place.  The We Call It Olde Link Up is ready for publishers to share their posts on those very things, and readers to visit blog-to-blog and enjoy all the chippy, crumbly goodness.

Antique Kitchen Clock

We bought this antique Waterbury clock on a trip to Ohio a couple of years ago.  It’s what’s usually called a kitchen shelf clock, and it’s a good thing she’s pretty, because she doesn’t work.  We love her anyway.  If you’re interested in the history of these clocks, I wrote a whole post about them way back when I first started We Call It Junkin, a whole six months ago: Kitchen Shelf Clock

  1. I think clocks do not have to work to deserve a place in the house. Especially if they are pretty. I linked up a cassette case from the 1970’s that I painted. Not really “olde” to me, but when I thought about it, the case is over 40 years old. WOW! How did i get that old?

  2. Hello Dawn, Thank you so much for hosting. I love the clock. It has great presence and style. I don’t blame you at all for loving it. I am linking up to show off my “NEW” china cabinets. I don’t know how old they really are, but they are solid wood through and through. I haven’t seen anything made this well in the last forty years. I also have a lot of other pretties that were found while thrifting to show off too. Have a great holiday!!

  3. It is a cute clock, Dawn! Thanks for hosting. I have linked up my aunt’s vintage china as well as my found plate and my grandmother’s bedspread. Thanks for hosting.
