Happy New Year, y’all! It’s hard to believe it’s New Year’s Eve, 2013 is almost over. It seems just yesterday we were all in a stew about Y2K, remember that? Everyone’s computer was going to crash, our bank accounts were going to be wiped out, and the world was going to come to an end. Thankfully, all was well.
I’ve really, really enjoyed the first few months of publishing We Call It Junkin.com, and I’m so thankful for all of you out there, those I’ve “met”, and those reading quietly behind the scenes.
It seemed a good time to reflect on the biggest and smallest from the blog in 2013, so here we go!
Countdown of the Five Most Popular Articles of 2013
3 – Pringles Can Christmas Candle, much to my surprise! Once I made it, I was afraid it looked too tacky and kitschy to put on the site and almost didn’t. But I guess it appealed to the little girls and boys in many of us who remember making these in elementary school, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, as many readers commented.
Countdown of the Five Least-Visited Articles of 2013
1-The least-visited post of 2013 was one of my first, Gramps’ Egg Basket. If you like olde egg baskets with a bit of nostalgia, check it out.
And I Was Honored:
I was so honored to be one of the first folks featured on the new site Denim Do Over, started up by Susan from Between Naps On The Porch a few months ago. She shared my post on how to make Sit-Upons for Grown-Ups.
And…when my article Six Things I’ve Learned In Six Months Of Blogging was featured by BlogHer.com, well I was just over the moon. Still swooning a bit from that one. 🙂
Many thanks to Kathe With An E for the opportunity to share this!
Wishing you all many, many blessings in 2014!
